WordPress Statistics is a plugin that displays statistics on your website from either your default or custom statistics. Statistics are crucial to determining the success of a website. Therefore, it is essential that website administrators understand how their statistics look and work. Statistics can be used to determine whether certain changes need to be made to a site. In addition, statistics help with internal optimization and development. That's why it's important to understand how your site is performing and what you can do to improve it.
When you install the plugin, you will be asked to choose between two default options: default and custom. The default selection shows general statistics such as the number of comments, pages, posts, and users on your site. Custom selection allows you to add custom statistics such as the number of unique visitors and bounce rate. This way you can get an accurate idea of your site's performance using custom statistics. After selecting the preferences, the plugin will install on your WordPress dashboard and you're good to go!
Lots of extra detailed metrics
You can also add your own statistics by adding comment types—for example, by adding links or text as comments. You can also add custom stats for posting—for example, adding images or HTML as a post. When you post posts, you can create statistics on the number of words or characters in each post. This way, you can measure the quality of each post based on criteria that you define. You can also add general statistics, such as the number of pages in your site's archive or the number of categories, to your site's menu structure. When you add pages, you can create statistics on the number of articles on a page or the number of images on a page. You can also add information such as the number of blog posts per category or per page to your site's archive structure.
Set up statistics
Once you've added all the stats you want to see, go to the Administration > Settings > WordPress Statistics and select which statistics display on the front of the dashboard. Then, click on the "Add statistics" link in the top right corner of the Statistics section to select which statistics appear on the front of your dashboard. Select which widgets appear above the main stats when choosing which widgets appear above the main stats in the main widget area at the front end of your dashboard. If you'd like to adjust any other aspects of WP statistics – such as font size and color – simply click on "Edit Settings" in this section to customize any aspect that interests you!
Statistics important for website optimization
